A petition with more than 52,000 signatories has been submitted to the Canadian government, calling for the urgent adoption of mandatory human rights and due diligence legislation for companies.
The petition was submitted by ‘Development and Peace’, a humanitarian aid group led by the Catholic church in Canada.
