Investors at Montreal Bank (BMO) voted to reject five disclosure-based shareholder resolutions at the Canadian bank’s AGM last week (11 April).
A resolution calling for disclosures on BMO’s energy supply ratio received almost one third of the vote, whilst a request for disclosures on political lobbying activities was supported by one in five investors.
The other three resolutions requested enhanced tax-related reporting, information on executive pay compensation metrics, and disclosures on the languages spoken by employees. All three received less than 10% of the vote.
