The Climate Policy Initiative has published a working paper on financial institutions’ targets and strategies on methane abatement.
Based on an analysis of 10 leading banks and investment firms’ disclosures, it found that most have only just started to integrate methane into their climate transition plans.
Only three firms demonstrated action on methane-related targets, however seven demonstrated taking action on risks and policy engagements.
