EFRAG’s Financial Reporting Board (FRB) has started a project to develop a voluntary, KPI-based financial reporting template for SMEs.
The European Commission requested that this project be undertaken, and the FRB agreed to carry it out at its meeting yesterday (10 September).
EFRAG will seek out the views of both preparers and investors before drafting the proposed structure and content of the template. It will submit its technical advice to the European Commission in the form of a report by June 2026.
