Public Sector Audit Appointments Ltd, responsible for local authority audit procurement in England, has announced the bodies that have been offered contracts to audit the 470 local authority bodies for the next five years.
The procurement would cover 99% of local authority audits and would mean 36% local authority bodies would be audited by Grant Thornton, 22.5% by Mazars, 20% by EY, 14% by KPMG, 3.75% by Bishops Fleming and 3.25% by Azets.
