The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has issued its guidelines for the enforcement of companies’ sustainability information published after 1 January 2025.
ESMA’s guidelines describe the selection techniques and enforcement methodologies that should be employed, the types of enforcement actions that should be used, and how enforcement activities in the EU should be coordinated within ESMA.
