The Platform on Sustainable Finance (PSF) – a multi-stakeholder advisory body to the European Commission – has published its response to the consultation on the draft simplifications to the ESRS.
It called for further measures to integrate the standards into the wider EU sustainable finance framework.
PSF recommendations:
- Improve consistency and connectivity with the Taxonomy Regulation through a mapping exercise
- Allow for a stronger integration of EU taxonomy‑related information into ESRS transition plan disclosures
- Develop a voluntary standardised transition plan template
- Improve consistency with the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation and Benchmark Regulation in terms of definitions, scopes and methodologies
