The Governance and Accountability Institute (G&A) has published a study of sustainability reporting trends amongst companies listed on the Russel 1000 index.
It found that 86% of Russel 1000 companies reported sustainability information in 2025, down from 91% the previous year.
Similarly, the rate of sustainability disclosure adoption amongst S&P 500 companies fell from 97.8% in 2024 to 93.9% in 2025.
