GRI has issued a new resource to help companies align their climate disclosures with the latest UN guidance on science-based net zero pathways.
The checklist sets out how companies can report on GHG emissions reductions and transition plans in line with both the GRI climate standard (GRI 102) and the UN High-Level Expert Group’s recommendations.
Selwin Hart, Assistant Secretary-General for Climate Change at the UN, stated: “The Checklist gives companies practical, science-based guidance on how to align their commitments with the Paris Agreement – and to track real progress in a consistent way. Tools like this are critical to move from promises to credible delivery.”
