Louis Coppola, co-founder of the Governance & Accountability Institute, has been appointed as the new chair of GRI’s Stakeholder Council – a 15-person body which provides the perspectives of different stakeholder groups to inform the work of the Global Sustainability Standards Board and GRI’s governing bodies.
Adekemi Adisa, general manager of sustainability and shared value at MTN Nigeria Communications, has been appointed as vicechair.
Coppola stated: “As reporting frameworks become increasingly connected and organizations seek to report once and meet multiple requirements, the Council plays an important role in ensuring diverse stakeholder perspectives shape GRI's future.”
