Linda Mezon-Hutter will take over as acting International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) chair from the end of June until the start of October.
The Trustee’ Nominating Committee is finding a permanent replacement for IASB chair Andreas Barckow, once his term ends on 30 June.
Expecting to conclude this process by 1 October, it asked vice-chair Mezon-Hutter to serve as acting chair during the transition period, noting her leadership and standard-setting expertise. This arrangement was then confirmed by the Trustees at a meeting in Montreal last week.
