A KPMG study of 275 non-financial companies’ 2024 EU Taxonomy disclosures found improvements in the usage of KPI reporting templates but “no significant improvement” in the disclosure of qualitative information.
The report reads: “Most companies still do not disclose all mandatory qualitative information and there is no significant improvement in that regard compared to the previous reporting period.”
KPMG found that 81% failed to provide the qualitative disclosures for the CapEX KPI and 94% failed to provide qualitative disclosures for the OpEX KPI.
As with last year, the study found that “many companies seem to focus more on the reporting templates displaying the Taxonomy-eligible and Taxonomy-aligned activities but do not ensure completeness of the contextual information”.
