SMEunited, the European association for small and medium sized companies, has issued a statement, stating its support for the European Commission’s omnibus proposals to reduce the regulatory burdens of the CSRD and CSDDD.
It also called for EU policy makers to ensure there is no mandatory assurance on the voluntary SME reporting standard and that SMEs are provided with a digital tool to fulfil trickle-down reporting and due diligence obligations.
