The Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) has released new guidance, setting out how organisations can incorporate considerations around environmental crimes into their assessments of nature-related impacts, dependencies, risks and opportunities.
On a webinar earlier this year, representatives from the TNFD, civil society and finance discussed how exposures to illicit resource extraction can present financial risks for companies, underlining the importance of identifying and mitigating these risks.
