The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) has launched a consultation on its draft priorities and budget for the next two years.
The draft plan includes projects to review enforcement processes and procedures, evolve audit supervisory approach, support SMEs in the areas the FRC regulates, and build capabilities within smaller audit firms.
FRC CEO Richard Moriarty stated: "Through our major projects, we're modernising our regulatory approach to deliver better outcomes for all stakeholders and we look forward to engaging with them on these proposals."
The public consultation is open until 6 February 2026.
