The UK Financial Reporting Council (FRC) has revised an assurance standard (ISA UK 620) and an assurance standard (ISAE UK 3000), both of which focus on using the work of an external expert.
The FRC’s revisions aim to align with the recent updates to the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board’s equivalent standards.
The revised UK standards will take effect for audits and assurance engagements on 15 December.
