WBA: Most companies falling short on proposed integrated transition indicators

The World Benchmarking Alliance has assessed how 750 companies would score against its proposed integrated transition assessment (ITA) benchmark – a framework for assessing how entities are managing interconnected climate, nature and social impacts, which wil published in November. 

It found that only 15 (2%) of the sample companies met at least half of the proposed indicators, based on their 2025 disclosures. Meanwhile, 614 companies met less than 30% of the draft indicators.

The WBA writes: “The ITA is deliberately ambitious and will be a vital tool for companies to see their plans and actions in the context of a credible transition. These findings show how far most have to travel, but a small group of frontrunners shows it can be done.”
