A 'three-horse race' for chairing EFRAG's sustainability board

The European Parliament (EP) will audition three candidates this week for the position of chair of EFRAG's Sustainability Reporting Board, Corporate Disclosures has learnt.

The three candidates are:

  • Dawn Slevin, an Irish national who is managing director at international consultancy, ELS Europe and a member of EU sustainable finance TEG & EFRAG's task force on reporting non-financial risk & opportunities
  • Patrick de Cambourg, a French national who is president of the French accounting standard setter (ANC) and has chaired EFRAG's Project Task Force on European Sustainability Reporting Standards.
  • Tjeerd Krumpelman, a Dutch national who is global head of Advisory, Reporting & Engagement at ABN AMRO and chairs the IIRC's special interest group on Integrated Thinking & Strategy.

The EP's Committee on Legal Affairs will hear Slevin, De Cambourg and Krumpelman at its 13 July morning meeting. It will deliberate that afternoon before stating its preferred candidate the next day.

The final appointment will be the European Commission's responsibility after having heard the EP and Council's opinions.
